Daily workflow

Run the trading day from one page — the Today page, routines with stages and history, the missed-trade log, and the iOS widgets and Siri actions that tick them off.

Today (sidebar, hotkey G D) is the trading day on one page: the routine that opens it, the live desk while it runs, what happened, what you passed on, and the log that closes it. /today always resolves to the current trading day in your market timezone, so a New York session viewed from Asia stays one day.

The sidebar is kept short — Home, Today, Trades, Calendar, Reports, then Notes, Playbook, Import. Routines and Missed trades are sections of Today; their full pages are one click away from each card, or from the command palette (⌘K → Routines / Missed trades).

What's on Today

Top to bottom:

CardShows

RoutineToday's checklist, grouped by stage; Edit opens the routine editor
Daily loss limitHow much of today's max daily loss is spent — amber from 70%, red when hit. Only shown once Max daily loss is set under Settings → Rules
Open positionsEverything on the book now (whenever it was opened), the total open risk from recorded stops, and how many positions have no stop
Session summaryNet P&L, trades, win rate, fees; rule-break and behaviour pills (over-risked, revenge, oversized…); "N trades to review →"; the day's mistake tax
Intraday P&LCumulative realized P&L, stepped at each close
TradesThe day's trades — click one to open its drawer
Missed tradesSetups you saw and didn't take that day; All opens the full log
Daily logThe day's notes, with New note

The arrows step to other days (/day/YYYY-MM-DD); the desk cards (loss limit, open positions) and the weekly focus only appear on today.

Routines

A routine is your checklist, split into three stages — Before trading, During trading, After trading. Open the editor from Edit on Today's routine card, ⌘K → Routines, or Settings → Rules → Daily routine → Open Routines.

  • Per-item days. Each item runs on its own weekdays (Every day, Weekdays, or any set), so a Friday-only "weekly prep" item doesn't break Monday.
  • History. Last 13 weeks shows each day's ticks, with Completion, Streak and a rate per stage. Click a past day to see or fix its ticks.
  • Streak counts consecutive fully-done days. Days with no list (weekends on a weekday routine) neither count nor break it, and an unfinished today doesn't break it either.
  • Edits never rewrite history. Removing an item, or changing its stage or days, applies from today on — past days keep what they were.
  • Ticks land on the market day. A post-session tick after local midnight still counts toward the session it closed.

On mobile, Home carries a Today's routine card; Daily routine (Settings → Trading & journal) shows the history and Edit routine the stage-sectioned editor. On iOS, Sync to Reminders mirrors each item into the Reminders app as a repeating reminder on its own days, due at one time you pick — completing it there ticks it in TraderMemos, and vice versa.

Missed trades

Log the setups you saw and passed on: ⌘K → Missed trades (/missed), the Missed trades card on Today, or the Tools menu on mobile.

FieldNotes
Symbol, Side, When you saw itRequired: symbol and side
Entry, Stop, TargetOptional plan; must be coherent for the side. With all three the miss is priced in R
Why you passedHesitated, Away from screen, Outside my rules, Other
How it played outNot checked yet, Hit target, Hit stop, Never triggered — changeable inline from the list
Setup, Account, NotesOptional

Scoring: a target hit counts its planned R, a stop-out −1R, an untriggered entry 0R. The summary shows Would have made (net R), Left on the table (target hits), Losses avoided (stop-outs) and how many still need an outcome, broken down By reason and By setup. Misses never touch your trade stats.

iOS widgets, controls and Siri

The iOS app ships widgets and App Intents that work without opening the app:

  • Daily Routine widget — small, medium and large Home Screen sizes plus Lock Screen (rectangular, circular, inline). Tap a row to tick or untick it straight to your server. If the server is unreachable the tick is queued and the widget redraws; the app sends the queue on its next launch. It refreshes every 30 minutes and at midnight.
  • Missed Trades widget — small and Lock Screen: would-have-made R, logged count, and how many still need an outcome.
  • Shortcuts / Siri — Check Off Routine Item (Siri asks which), Check Off Next Routine Item, Routine Progress (spoken), Log Missed Trade (asks symbol and side; reason and plan optional).
  • Control Center (iOS 18) — Next Routine Item ticks the next open item; Log Missed Trade opens the form.
